Riley Keough sent a moving tribute to her late mother on social media. She posted a picture to Instagram with a heartbreaking caption. In the photo she shared, Keough was shown holding her parents’ arms as a newborn baby.
She captioned the photo, “Lucky to have had the best and most deeply loving mama I could have asked for.”
Keough is celebrating her first Mother’s Day since the tragically sudden death of her mother, Lisa Marie Presley. In 2022, Keough and her spouse Ben Smith-Petersen welcomed their first child.
In the post, several famous people supported Keough and her late mother. Lindsay Lohan, an actress, wrote: “Sending love to you! I wish you a happy Mother’s Day as well.”
Lisa Marie Presley suffered a heart attack at her Calabasas home on January 12 and passed away. Her heart was restarted on the route to West Hills Hospital in Los Angeles, where she spent her dying moments. In the presence of her family and friends, she passed away in Los Angeles at the age of 54.
It was announced that Lisa Marie had become a grandma in her final months during her burial service at Graceland. At the service, Riley Keough’s husband, Ben Smith-Petersen, read a statement that his wife had written.
“I hope I can love my daughter as you have loved me, my brother, and my sisters,” she said. Ben read the poem aloud to his wife, “Thank you for giving me strength, my heart, my empathy, my courage, my sense of humor, my manners, my anger, my wildness, and my stubbornness. I am a product of your heart, as are my sisters and brother,” the speaker said.
Benjamin Keough, the son of Lisa Marie, committed suicide in the summer of 2020. The entire family was deeply saddened by his passing, especially Lisa Marie, who frequently thought about her son and shared memories of him on social media.
Keough and her spouse fell in love while filming Mad Max: Fury Road, and they got married in 2015.
Riley Keough and everyone who misses their mothers on Mother’s Day has our love.
