Al Roker has decorated the Christmas tree.

Despite his severe health issues, the Today show weather anchor, 68, published photos of himself and his family decorating their Christmas tree at home.

Despite his chronic health issues, Al Roker is excited to spend Christmas at home with his family and prepare for the holiday.

On Friday, the 68-year-old Today show weather anchor uploaded a series of Instagram photos of himself decorating his Christmas tree while at home with his family, which included his wife Deborah Roberts, 62, and his children, daughter Leila, 24, and son Nick, 20.

Before posing for a group portrait, Roker and his family can be seen smiling as they decorate their Christmas tree with ornaments.

“So delighted to be well enough to decorate the Roker Family #Christmastree,” he captioned it, and he expressed his thanks for being able to participate.

Roker posted on his Instagram account earlier this month that he had returned home after being readmitted to the hospital due to severe health problems.

During that time, he posted a photo on social media of himself standing in the kitchen of his home, which he shared with his wife and children.

Roker’s happy tweet contained the remark, “Home! I am grateful to my family, friends, hospital staff, Today show colleagues, and everyone who has been thinking and praying for me.”

His release from the hospital happened just a few hours after he tweeted a photo of a sunrise over the city skyline on social media and told his followers that he hoped to be released from the hospital soon.

On Instagram, he wrote, “Hopefully heading home soon, but when your spirit sags a bit, you get to witness that and refuel.” “May God bless each and every one of you for your prayers and well wishes for me and my family,” she said.

PEOPLE have confirmed that Roker was rushed back to the hospital in an emergency just one day after being released on Thanksgiving. This took place earlier this month.

According to Page Six’s first claim, Roker, who has been recovering from blood clots in his leg and lungs, was taken back to the hospital in an ambulance.

A source told PEOPLE that “Al was rushed to the hospital after Thanksgiving.”

“His health was alarming,” Page Six reports, “but once back in the hospital, he improved.”

Roker was first admitted to the hospital at the start of this month. He stated on Instagram on November 18 that he has been receiving medical treatment for blood clots.
