Frankie Valli, the legendary singer and frontman of The Four Seasons, is still rocking the stage at the age of 90. With a career spanning over six decades, Valli has left an indelible mark on the music industry. However, recent concerns about his health have left fans worried.
A viral video, viewed by millions, captured Valli appearing fragile and struggling to lip-sync during a show. The clip, from his August 3 performance in Saratoga near San Jose, showed glimpses of a man who seemed to be going through the motions. The crowd, however, showered him with applause as he bravely carried on.
In response to the concerns, Valli’s representative told The New York Post on August 13, “Frankie is doing just fine and is super happy to still be performing. The audiences are filling venues and enjoying some fantastic music.” It seems that Valli, despite his age, is determined to do what he loves most.
Though this is not the first time there have been allegations of lip-syncing, Valli remains resilient. His band, The Four Seasons, is currently on their farewell tour titled “The Last Encore,” scheduled to conclude in April 2025.
Valli’s journey in the world of music began in the early 1950s when he joined various bands. However, it was in 1960 that he found his big break by forming The Four Seasons with Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito, and Nick Massi. Their first hit, “Sherry,” soared to the top of the charts in 1962, paving the way for a series of chart-topping hits including “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like a Man,” and “Rag Doll.”

In addition to his achievements with The Four Seasons, Valli has also carved out a successful solo career. His solo hits, such as “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” “My Eyes Adored You,” and the iconic theme song from the movie “Grease,” demonstrate his versatility as a performer.
Valli’s influence extends beyond his music. The story of The Four Seasons became the inspiration for the hit Broadway musical “Jersey Boys,” which debuted in 2005. This critically acclaimed production, chronicling the group’s rise from humble beginnings, resonated with audiences worldwide. In 2014, Clint Eastwood directed the film adaptation of the musical, further cementing Valli’s enduring legacy.
As Frankie Valli continues to captivate audiences with his timeless music, his passion and dedication serve as an inspiration to us all. At 90 years young, he defies expectations and reminds us that age is just a number. Long live the music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons!
