“As of three days ago, I am cancer-free,” Braeden said. He went on to thank his fans for their good thoughts and prayers, which meant a great deal to him. Much to his relief, the doctors couldn’t find a single cancerous thing. “Isn’t that nice?” he added with a smile.

He is still awaiting the results of an MRI to determine if the cancer has spread from his bladder. In the event of positive results, he will have to undergo further treatments. “I love life, man. Why wouldn’t I?” Braeden said. “I’m working on the No. 1 show. It has been No. 1 for 38 years now. Why would I complain? That would be obscene.”
