There’s been quite a stir about a homeless couple’s decision to live in a tent and forgo seeking traditional employment. This choice has sparked a lively debate among folks from all walks of life.
This particular couple has chosen a lifestyle that many would consider unconventional, preferring the simplicity of life without a permanent roof over their heads. They express that homelessness doesn’t seem daunting if you embrace their outlook on life.
With 178,000 followers on TikTok, their views have gained a lot of attention, initiating conversations about their perspective on homelessness.
Leland Brown Jr. and Breanna, who hail from Hatfield, Pennsylvania, USA, have become a topic of discussion mainly due to their preference for calling themselves “houseless” rather than “homeless.” Featured in a video from their tent, they explained this choice, claiming “houselessness is cool,” and they shared insights about the skills they’ve acquired by living such a life.
People’s reactions have been mixed. While some have applauded them for their independent spirit, others have criticized what seems to be an avoidance of traditional responsibilities.
In the midst of these discussions, Leland and Breanna initiated a GoFundMe campaign. They want to support their more minimalist lifestyle while dedicating time to Leland Jr.’s son. However, their journey to the $10,000 goal has been slow, accumulating just $162 so far.
The reasons behind their current circumstances remain a bit of a mystery. Speculation about their past and present situation runs rife. In earlier times, it seemed that Leland held jobs and lived conventionally in a house. However, currently, they express no interest in returning to conventional employment.
They believe they possess ample intelligence and don’t feel compelled to rush into the job market.
Skeptics question the honesty behind their decisions, suggesting that perhaps they’re shirking duties rather than making a genuine choice to live without a home.
So, what do you think about their unique way of life? Feel free to ponder and share your thoughts!
