Levi Wright, the beloved son of rodeo celebrity Spencer Wright, has tragically left us.

Sadly, the three-year-old succumbed to a severe brain injury after a near-drowning incident on May 21.

Levi was playing on a toy tractor when he accidentally fell into a river. He was urgently taken to a hospital in Salt Lake City after being found unconscious about a mile downstream by local authorities.

Initially, Levi was declared brain dead, with little hope of survival, yet he began to show unexpected signs of recovery.

In a moment of hope, his mother, Kallie Wright, shared on Facebook

Tragically, the MRI results the following day dashed these hopes, showing “not good” outcomes.

“We are heartbroken, but these are merely images suggesting a certain quality of life. The true indication will be Levi’s response over the upcoming days,” shared Kallie.

Levi’s struggle continued, surrounded by the love and prayers of family and friends hoping for his comeback.

A Heart-Wrenching Decision

After numerous scans, tests, and discussions with his medical team, the family faced the agonizing decision to discontinue life support.

Levi’s heartbreaking departure was confirmed by Mindy Sue Clark, a close family friend.

“Explaining the difficulty of these last two weeks is near impossible. From the moment I got the call after his accident, to receiving the news of his passing last night, it’s been overwhelming. Despite feeling like my heart was ripped out, I want to remember the countless miracles witnessed over those 12 days.

“Levi was the most perfect three-year-old imaginable. So perfect, indeed, that we couldn’t keep him. This boy moved mountains over these 12 days. He united so many people. Even in a world shrouded in darkness, we witnessed the light of a child. He represented everything his parents could have wished for.”

We extend our deepest condolences on this heartbreaking loss. Rest peacefully, Levi.
