The dance world has lost an icon with the death of DJ Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss.
The most heartbreaking aspect of this loss is that this man, who brought laughter and joy wherever he went, was suffering quietly and battling depression. Unfortunately, few people knew his condition since he concealed it behind his stunningly captivating smile.
tWitch’s exceptional enthusiasm and originality made him an indispensable dance community member. Those who knew him will never forget him or his choreography, which was well-known and acknowledged.
The popular DJ, who was a regular on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show from 2014 till the show ended, left behind his young family.
He was married to Allison Holker and had two children with her, as well as being a stepfather to her older daughter.
Holker paid tribute to her dear husband by uploading a heartfelt slideshow with images of their many wonderful memories on Wednesday, January 4th, 2023, as the family held a private memorial service in Los Angeles. “I LOVE YOU FOREVER AND ALWAYS!” she wrote to her spouse, best friend, babe, Chee-chalker, Superman, and father of her children. “We shall always remember you as the true light that you were.”
The song “Lift Me Up” by Rihanna played in the background as stunning photographs of the couple’s wedding day, romantic shoots, trips, and major events displayed the amazing life they enjoyed with their children.
The film concluded with a black-and-white portrait of Boss and the words “In loving remembrance of Stephen Lauren Boss.”
“We will continue to spread your light and love over the world,” Holker wrote in the description. “Thank you for our great memories and our lovely life together.”
Many celebrities and family members remarked on the video. Ellen DeGeneres was among them, writing, “His brightness lives on with all of us.”
Our hearts and prayers go out to the bereaved family.
