When Denise Fox (Diane Parish) wanted to check on Shirley Carter (Linda Henry), Alfie gave her the keys to The Vic, which she later chose to return.
He tries to help Linda by reopening the bar, but Denise is furious when she finds out what he’s done.

He tries to help Linda by reopening the bar, but Denise is furious when she finds out what he’s done.
Despite Alfie’s assurances that he is acting on Linda’s behalf, the Fox matriarch is displeased.
She lashes out at Alfie just as Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) reveals that Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) delivers free drinks.
While Alfie is inspired to plan a summer celebration, Denise instructs Patrick to gather all of the money.
He believes the event will be an excellent method to increase sales and support Linda in bringing The Vic forward.
Kim calls Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) to let her know that The Vic is now open.
Everything is swimmingly at the tavern as Alfie settles in behind the bar.
Linda, on the other hand, arrives ashamed just as the party begins.
As Sharon drives Annie and Ollie back to her house, the landlady lashes out angrily at Alfie.
Later, Alfie tries to persuade Linda of the community’s care for Mick to gain her forgiveness.
He gathers the landlord’s buddies and holds a vigil in the tavern to surprise his ex-wife.
The police arrive and break up the vigil when Mick’s loved ones reminisce about him.
Linda and Shirley clung to the hope that Mick was still alive after the terrible occurrence.
EastEnders fans will be aware that Danny, who portrays Mick, has no plans to return to the show and that Christmas Day will be his last day in Walford.
Will the cops deliver the awful news that Mick has died?
