According to reports, the iconic American actor Jack Nicholson’s close friends and family are concerned about his health. The actor, who is 85 years old and has become reclusive, is said to be suffering from dementia.
Despite retiring from acting after the release of the romantic comedy “How Do You Know?” in 2010, he has continued to appear in public regularly. He was last seen publicly in October 2021, when he was with his son Ray Nicholson at a sporting event.
This was the last time he was seen. “He has made it very clear that his residence is his fortress,” a source told RadarOnline. But everyone wishes he’d just come out of the house and explain what happened, or at the very least assure them that he’s okay.
Jack keeps in touch with some of his relatives, especially Ray, his student and protégé, of whom he is exceptionally proud, but his days of going out and socializing are long gone.”
“After such an eventful life, Marlon Brando died as a virtual recluse, and Jack’s friends are drawing comparisons between the two,” the source continued. “His children will visit him, but they are his only connection to the outside world. He appears to be unwilling to confront the truth, which is a very unfortunate attitude to have.”
Nicholson is one of the most gifted actors in the industry’s history. He was known for his ability to immerse himself in his roles and excelled at portraying people with mental illnesses.
He is one of only three historical actors to have won three or more Academy Awards (Katharine Hepburn died with four Oscars, and Meryl Streep has three trophies).
In recognition of his work in films such as “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” “Terms of Endearment,” and “As Good as It Gets,” the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences presented Nicholson with several awards.
In addition, he is well-known for his roles as the Joker in “Batman,” Jack Torrance in “The Shining,” Col. Nathan Jessup in “A Few Good Men,” and numerous other characters in films.
