Weslie Boss returned to social media more than two months after her adoptive father, Stephen “tWitch” Boss, committed suicide.
Allison Holker, Boss’s widow, had the 14-year-old with an unidentified ex-fiance in 2008, and Boss adopted him following their 2013 wedding.
Weslie stopped posting to her 152.6K TikTok followers the day before her father died on December 12, but she resumed posting again.
The brief video showed the adolescent holding her phone up to a mirror, and it was set to the 2020 Mac Miller song Surf… from his posthumous album Circles, released two years after he died of an accidental overdose at the age of 28.
The phone also included two small photographs of her and Stephen as an homage to her late father. The video has more than 221K views and 21K likes.
“He made you feel something and lived his life with love.” “Joy to people’s homes, you know, from dance or love,” she said.
“It will not change for us.” She stated that it would feel different, but we are conscious of our aim and will continue to work toward it.
The dancer and choreographer committed suicide in a hotel washroom on December 13, and he was buried in early January.
“To my husband, best friend, sweetie, Chee-chalker, Superman, and father of my children, I love you forever and always,” Holker said in a touching tribute to her husband of nearly ten years.
“We shall never forget you as the actual beacon of light that you were, and we will keep spreading your love and light around the globe. We are thankful for our lovely common heritage and lives.”
Boss rose to prominence after finishing second on the fourth season of So You Think You Can Dance.
He would make another cameo appearance on the Fox dancing competition series before returning to The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2014.
Despite beginning as a guest DJ on the famous show, he was awarded a regular role and promoted to producer in 2020.
