After Alicia’s death, John Schneider says he ‘desperately’ misses her: ‘I’m at a loss for words.’

Alicia Allain, John Schneider’s wife, passed away at 53 at home, surrounded by family.

John Schneider is still grieving the loss of his wife, Alicia Allain.

The Dukes of Hazzard star, 62, posted a series of tributes to his late wife on his Facebook page this week, in the days following announcing her passing.

“I simply have no words but… I desperately miss you, Mrs. Schneider,” the actor captioned a photo of himself and Allain kissing.

A day earlier, Schneider kissed his wife’s lips and captioned the photo, “For me, this is what love looks like.”

Another post showed Schneider intimately hugging his late wife in a photograph while writing about his loss in the caption. “This is a period of unspeakable grief for me. Sorrow is a far too tiny word. I’ve heard it claimed that “great love brings enormous pain.” “Before now, I had no notion what that meant,” he explained.

According to an online obituary Schneider posted on Facebook, reacting to the death of his wife, who died a day earlier at home surrounded by relatives. She was 53 years old.

“My lovely Smile is pain-free, living in her new body alongside Jesus,” Schneider captioned a photo of himself and Allain holding hands with their wedding bands prominently displayed.

“Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Please do not ask any questions,” he added, before requesting his followers, “If you have any images of us and our clear love and adoration for each other, please submit them here.”

“Finally, hug people you love tightly and express how you feel,” Schneider said. “We’ve always done it.”

Though no official cause of death was given, Schneider has previously spoken out about his wife’s battle with breast cancer on Fox & Friends.

Allain stated that she was “diagnosed with stage 4 HER2 negative cancer,” Schneider added, “She was three years into a five-year shelf life.”

Allain selected a holistic approach to cancer treatment, telling Fox & Friends, “I went into like a speed course of researching what road I was going to take. I chose to try keto for cancer, CBD oil, and mineral grounding. I went into a fairly strict routine.”

In an intimate ceremony at John Schneider Studios in Holden, Louisiana, Schneider and Allain tied the knot on September 25, 2019.

From 1983 to 1986, he was married to Tawny Little, and from 1993 to 2019, he was married to Elvira “Elly” Schneider. He and Elly have three children: a son, Chasen, and two girls, Karis and Leah. Meanwhile, Allain married Patrick Dollard from 1994 to 1999, and they have one child together, Jessica Ann.
