Jamie Lee Curtis has won her first Academy Award, surpassing her movie star parents, who were both nominated.

The Oscar winner for best actress in a supporting role went to the renowned progeny of “Psycho” star Janet Leigh and “Some Like It Hot” actor Tony Curtis for her lauded performance in “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once.”

Curtis, 64, reminded the world of her Hollywood heritage and the reality that her late parents never made it to the platform during her emotional speech.

“I know it appears that I’m standing here by myself, but I’m not. I am hundreds of individuals,” Curtis explained before calling out her coworkers from “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once,” adding, “We just won an Oscar.”

She went on to acknowledge her family and lovers of the “niche flicks” Curtis had made.

“And my mum and father were both nominated for Oscars in different categories,” Curtis remarked at the end of her statement. “I just received an Oscar.”

In 1960, Leigh was nominated for best actress in a supporting role for her work in Alfred Hitchcock’s “Psycho,” while Tony Curtis was nominated for best actor in a starring role for his performance in “The Defiant Ones” in 1958.

In December, Curtis stepped in on the nepotism debate after Vulture.com called 2022 “The Year of the Nepo Baby” in a series of pieces about celebrities with renowned parents.

“There isn’t a day in my professional life that goes by that I am not reminded that I am the daughter of movie stars,” she wrote at the time, adding that “the current discourse surrounding kids is just geared to demean, disparage, and harm.”

Curtis, whose credits include “Freaky Friday” and “Halloween,” said that while she had navigated her decades-long acting career “with the advantages my associated and reflected fame brought me,” she disagreed with the “assumptions and snide remarks that someone related to someone else who is famous in their field for their art, would somehow have no talent whatsoever.”

“I have come to discover that is simply not true,” the mother of two stated.

Curtis also made fun of her “Nepo Baby” moniker when she received the prize for best performance by a female actress in a supporting role at the SAG Awards last month.

“I know you look at me and think ‘nepo baby,’ that’s why she’s there, and I get that,” Curtis said during her address. “But the truth is, I’m 64, and this is just incredible.”
