Amy Slaton’s husband, ‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ star Michael Halterman, has filed for divorce.

Amy Slaton and Michael Halterman’s divorce filing comes less than a year after they had their second child together.

Amy Slaton and her husband, Michael Halterman, are splitting up.

According to court filings, Halterman, 40, filed for divorce from the 1000-pound Sisters star on March 13 in Kentucky.

The former couple eloped in 2017 before marrying in 2019, as previously shown on the TLC show.

The divorce filing comes less than a year after the couple revealed the birth of their second child, Glenn Allen Halterman. Their son was born through c-section on July 5, weighing 5 lbs. 11 oz. and measuring 17.5 inches.

“Finally, the wait is over… Glenn Allen Halterman, our son, has been born, and Michael and I are overjoyed,” at the time, Slaton, 35, said. “The delivery went extremely well, and I now have two miraculous sons; our family is complete!”

Slaton raved about her baby child in a recent episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters, saying he looked like both her and Halterman.

“My heart is overflowing,” she remarked. “I’ve wanted to be a mother since I was five, and I’ve always wanted two children. Finally, our family is complete. We can now put us in a frame and hang them on the wall.”

Slaton is also the mother to Gage Deon Halterman, whom she and Halterman welcomed in November 2020.
