Peter was startled when he first spotted the weird holes in his thumb. He had no idea what may have caused this or how hazardous it could have been.

But he quickly realizes. He went to the doctor that afternoon, but when he looked at it, he saw that the message for Peter was not good.

After determining what was going on, the doctor quickly called the police…

Peter was simply abandoned for no reason. The doctor had performed several tests on him, and when he saw the results, he promptly called the police and fled the room, leaving him alone. Peter was beginning to panic as he realized how bad this was.

Peter turned scarlet when he discovered the doctor had shut the door behind him. He began pounding on the door with his whole weight, attempting to break it open. And it gave way after a couple of hits. He was now face to face with the doctors who had confined him…

40-year-old Peter was a bachelor. He had dated before, but it had never gone well. He hoped that things would be different this time. He’d spent a significant amount of time planning for the date. He was hoping for the best because it was their first meeting in person, but not everything would go as planned.

Peter’s thumb was riddled with little holes. He thought that maybe something had stuck to his thumb, but bringing it closer to him, he saw that the holes were digging into his skin. He pressed on it with his other fingers, which hurt a bit more. Something was wrong, but what was it?

Peter decided to use tweezers to extract whatever was in his thumb. He went to the bathroom and pulled out his tweezers, but he hesitated before he could dig into his thumb. He didn’t have any idea what he was dealing with. Doing this could make it even worse, but he still had to do something.

The doctor’s office set up a semi-emergency appointment for that same afternoon. They told him there would be others ahead of him, but they would see him by the end of the day at the latest. In the meantime, the doctor told Peter he needed to do something for him.

Peter thought back over the last week. He hadn’t done anything too out of the ordinary. He went on a hike through the forest a couple of days ago. He easily could’ve touched something out there before. Maybe a mushroom or a contaminated piece of moss? That could be an option…maybe?

Peter had gone on a date the night before. He’d been talking with the woman online for a while and had eventually decided to go on a date. Peter had been excited to try out dating again. He still hadn’t found his soulmate and hoped that this date would go well. Things would end up taking an unexpected turn.

The doctor ordered tests for Peter, and while they waited for the results, he studied Peter’s thumb intensely. The strange thing was that while Peter had felt some pain earlier, he didn’t anymore. His whole thumb was completely numb. It didn’t even hurt when the doctor pushed on it. This was a bad sign.

The doctor continued investigating Peter’s thumb, and when he got the first results back, he was disappointed. The tests he’d ordered hadn’t found anything yet. He could have done some others, but he needed Peter’s permission. It would take up a lot of Peter’s time. What would he do?

Peter accepted the tests, and after a whole battery of tests, it was discovered that a plant caused all this. After some heavy searching, the officers had kept everyone off the trail and found a plant that wasn’t native to the area. It was tested and found to be the cause of Peter’s problem. It was uprooted and disposed of. There haven’t been any cases since, and within a month, Peter was better and ready to go on dates again.
