According to sources, Jamie Foxx was brought to the hospital with a medical emergency on Tuesday after an unclear incident.
The family of the Django Unchained star has verified that he is presently recovering after being treated with “great care.”
The Oscar-winning actor’s daughter, Corinne Foxx thanked fans for their support and well-wishers.
“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” Corinne said in an Instagram post.
“Fortunately, he is already on his way to recovery thanks to quick action and excellent care.”
“We know how much he is loved and appreciates your prayers.” During this challenging moment, the family requests privacy. Sincerely, The Foxx Family.”
Though Foxx has not yet spoken out on the topic, and his family has not provided any information on how he wound up in the hospital, TMZ reports that the incident was a medical emergency.
“We’re told his condition was serious enough that Jamie’s family – some of whom were not in town – came to the hospital,” the US-based news source reported. ‘He’s communicating now, which is wonderful news,’ said one insider.”
Foxx was last photographed by paparazzi two days ago while filming his latest film, Back In Action, in Atlanta.
The 55-year-old actor received an Oscar in 2004 for his depiction of blind musician Ray Charles in Ray, and his career has continued to flourish. In addition to Jarhead, Django Unchained, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2, the Texas native has appeared in several other films.
His next project will reunite him with Cameron Diaz, who hasn’t appeared in a film since 2014’s Annie. In that film, she also collaborated with Foxx, who is claimed to have been the driving factor behind her return to the big screen.
I don’t know about you, but I’m relieved Foxx is recovering after his health scare earlier this week.
