People are referred described as being “joined at the hip” when they demonstrate a strong bond. The same is true for Isabelle and Abby Carlsen, two stunning sisters who entered the world in 2006. But compared to their parents, these twins had a lot more in common. From their chests down to their stomachs, they were connected at birth.
Parents wanted their daughters to be separated, but physicians warned them that such an operation was exceedingly risky. Nevertheless, medical professionals in Minnesota made the difficult decision to separate the two girls. Fortunately, it was a big success, and Isabelle and Abby received worldwide attention.
Their internal organs were mixed up, and Abby’s heart was entangled inside Isabelle’s chest. The doctors did everything in their power to provide these girls with a bright future since they understood that the quality of their lives was in their control. For the marathon surgery, they put in months of preparation. You name it, there was a team for plastic surgery, one for the liver, etc.
The sisters, who reside in North Dakota, don’t recall ever being connected together because they underwent separation surgery when they were just six months old. Today, they undoubtedly have a contagious sprightliness in common, but that’s about it. Abby and Isabelle are poles apart in terms of who they are as people. They don’t share the same interests or fashion sense.
“Every night we look in our room’s mirror and wonder, ‘How do people confuse us?’” Says Abby. These two are unquestionably absolutely unique individuals.
They were formerly regarded as miracle children, and now that they are adults, they lead entirely regular lives. Visit the video below for more information about their remarkable tale.
