After Kirstie Alley’s sudden passing from cancer at the age of 71, Denise Richards thought back on her Drop Dead Gorgeous co-star. The RHOBH alum shared her ideas on Instagram on Tuesday, December 6.
She said about Kirstie, “Kirstie is one of the funniest, sweetest & strongest women I’ve ever met.” “I am extremely fortunate and appreciative that I was able to work on a movie with her as my mother.
Working with her intimidated me quite a bit, but she quickly put me at ease. She cherished animals dearly and had a heart of gold. She radiated joy and light in every area she entered with her contagious laugh. Many people adore you, Kirstie, and you will be deeply missed. God bless your children and grandchildren.
Denise made this statement after collaborating with Kirstie in the 1999 film Drop Dead Gorgeous. Denise portrayed Rebecca Ann “Becky” Leeman, a pageant contestant who was the daughter of Kirstie’s Gladys Leeman character, in the mockumentary.
Gladys, who had previously won a pageant, served as the committee’s head organizer. The humorous segment left a lasting impression and is still a favorite among both Denise and Kirstie’s fans.
Some of the many kind words that Kirstie’s other co-stars and friends had to say about her included Denise’s praise of her. John Travolta, who co-starred with the model in the Look What’s Talking films, quickly posted cherished images of her on Instagram along with a moving remark.
“My relationship with Kirstie was one of the most unique ones I’ve ever had. Kirstie, I adore you. I’m confident that we’ll cross paths again,” he wrote.
Numerous other celebrities, including Jamie Lee Curtis, Kelsey Grammer, Valerie Bertinelli, Tim Allen, and others, expressed their grief and love for Kirstie. “I recently learned the tragic news that Kirstie Alley had passed away.
Jamie said she was a wonderful comic foil in “@tvscreamqueens” and a stunning mother bear in real life. “She assisted me in purchasing onesies for my family that Christmas. Even if we agreed to disagree on several issues, we still respected and connected. the bad news.
Like Jamie, Abigail Breslin co-starred with Kirstie in Scream Queens and posted a homage on Instagram. RIP, @kirstiealley, you were a wonderful person.
I’m thrilled that I got to collaborate with you on Scream Queens season 2, and I always found it amusing when you entered your name into my phone. I hope you’re peacefully dozing off right now.
She also attached a snapshot of Kirstie’s phone contact, which stated, “Kirstie (like thirsty),” along with the message, “Love to Kirsties families and friends. Xx.”
On December 5, Kirstie’s son William and daughter Lillie posted a tweet on her official Twitter account informing followers of her passing. “To all of our friends, near and far, wherever in the world…
We regret to notify you that our amazing, courageous, and beloved mother passed away after a struggle with cancer, which was only recently found. She fought valiantly while surrounded by her closest family members, leaving us with little doubt about her unending love of life and whatever adventures lie ahead. She was a legendary actress but an even better mother and grandma.”
