Erin Napier offered a health update for her youngest daughter, Mae, while contemplating 2022.
“Baby Mae was born, and we now have a complete family. She was the one missing piece in our puzzle. Henry has thrived as her big sister,” the HGTV personality wrote in an Instagram post on New Year’s Eve.
“Mae was born with some major congenital problems, but she is doing great in physical therapy and becoming stronger every day—almost crawling, constantly smiling,” she continued. “She is the most gentle and easygoing infant the Lord has ever created.”
Erin gave birth on May 28, 2021. Helen, her 3-year-old daughter, is also the daughter of her husband, Ben.
In addition, the graphic designer provided an update on the eldest Napier sibling. “Helen turned three with the new year, fractured her leg, had surgery, healed, and life went on,” she captioned a photo of Helen riding a scooter.
Helen, Erin added, “has been such a big girl about losing our dog of 12 years, Baker, in July.”
In a post last year, Erin disclosed that she and Ben purchased a farmhouse, which they will refurbish in the forthcoming season 6 of “Home Town.”
“We bought a farm in the country, so our girls will know how to build forts in the woods, climb trees, and catch fish,” she explained. “How to be in a peaceful country.”
Throughout 2021, the “Home Town” hosts have also had several professional highs. One of these was their hit show “Home Town Takeover,” in which the couple assisted in renovating Wetumpka, Alabama.
The 36-year-old posted about the series on Twitter, saying they “got to hear stories of how they’re enjoying this economic recovery, then how it inspired so many of you in your communities.”
Their enterprises in Laurel, Mississippi, had a fantastic year as well.
“Because you were tired of waiting on products from containers caught in the seas, our American-made firms @laurelmercantile and @scotsmangeneralstore grew by leaps and bounds,” she wrote. “You helped hundreds of American creators by paying their electricity bills and putting food on their tables.”
“God carried us in the palm of his hand through another year of uncertainty and grief in the world and kept us close, ever-present, never changing,” the mother-of-two said in her post. He’s fantastic.”
In the coming year, the Napiers will have a new spinoff on HGTV called “Home Town Kickstart.” The couple will join other network stars in helping to revitalize six communities: Buffalo, Wyoming; Cornwall, New York; Winslow, Arizona; LaGrange, Kentucky; Thomaston, Georgia; and Minden, Louisiana.
“Every day in Laurel, we see the good impact of this small town rebirth,” Erin told HGTV. “Ben and I can’t wait to share what we’ve learned with our fellow HGTV experts so they can assist these communities in meeting their objectives.”
In each town, the series will “refresh the home of a local hero, give a small company a gorgeous facelift, and rejuvenate a public place to enhance the citizens’ quality of life and engender community pride,” according to the statement.
