It’s nice to see famous couples who value their marriages and families. Time McGraw and Faith Hill, who appear in “1883,” have a beautiful marriage, but they, like all families, have faced tragedies and difficulties.
In 2022, they revealed that Gracie, their 25-year-old daughter, had Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. (PCOS).
They received a lot of love and support at the time, and Gracie recently updated everyone on her health via social media.
“I just wanted to let you know that I was recently diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). You need two of the five PCOS characteristics to get the correct diagnosis, and I had three.”
“During my appointment with my endocrinologist, I realized that may have been a factor in my weight issues, so we decided to try a medicine to regulate my body more normally and create the tools to continue to keep my body and myself healthy as I get older,” Gracie continued in the post.
“I’m learning to navigate the new blemishes,” Gracie explained, “but I don’t think I would have ever allowed myself to go to a doctors appointment like this unless I had taken the correct steps toward my mental health because as much as physical health is important, mental goes hand in hand.”
Fans on social media have praised the young McGraw for being open about her illness.
PCOS is a very common hormone problem for women of childbearing age that can result in infertility and high levels of androgens. Some people have small cysts on their ovaries. PCOS can cause excessive hair growth, acne, infertility, weight gain, and irregular menstrual cycles.
“Sending love to those going through something similar or anything. Mental health is extremely difficult!! It’s a long road, but we’ll get there,” the star added.
“I share my experience to hope my situation has reached someone who can relate. P.S. The medication I’m taking has given me a body I haven’t had in years (or perhaps ever?). It’s difficult to navigate, but I’m learning to love her.”
Fans applauded the young woman’s honesty and used words like “brave” and “beautiful” to describe her.
Unfortunately, Gracie has been through a lot regarding her physical appearance. She was mocked for her shape in 2021, but she retaliated by dancing and embracing the body shamer!
“I looked in the mirror today and felt good about myself. I ended up going to a store and picked up the largest size they had in a dress, which was an eight btw (bs) I wear a 10, and the lady who was working in the store took the dress out of my hands and said ‘that’s not going to fit you,’” she wrote at the beginning of the caption. “First and foremost, because it’s not my size? “and second, the fact that she literally took the dress out of my hands and told me verbally that I was too big for it irritated me,” she wrote on Instagram.
“It didn’t only make me upset that she was calling me too big, but it mostly made me upset because so many stores do this; they only put smaller sizes out, and then when you try on their bigger sizes, they don’t even go above your knees,” she continued. “I’ve been wearing the same jean size for two or three years now, and every time I try a new brand OR EVEN THE SAME ONE I PREVIOUSLY OWN, the size 30 is somehow smaller even if my own body has stayed the same size. Not just pants, but everything.”
Naturally, Tim McGraw and the rest of Gracie’s family support her. Tim expressed his love for his daughter in the following way in 2020:
“Gracie, our oldest daughter, is an actress in L.A., and she makes me proud every day because she’s such a strong, independent young lady who speaks her mind.”
Gracie genuinely is undeniably unaffected by her condition. Let us know your thoughts about her bravery and transparency in the comments!
