In the middle of the night, they received an emergency call from a child.

Nothing in the world compares to the bond that develops between a mother and her child. It was made when the child was still developing within the mother’s womb, long before the infant was born into our world.

If you have your own children, you are well familiar with the meaning of the phrase “unconditional love.” This is the story of a small boy who dialed 911 to find his mother, who had went to heaven.

Based on a true story, this heartbreaking film depicts how deep love can be, as well as the extent to which a small child would go in order to reconnect with his mother.

At twelve o’clock in the morning, Jerry, a small boy of only five years old, dials 911 to report a crime in progress. He requests the officer’s assistance in locating his mother.

When the cops ask where she is, the small kid responds, “Heaven, but that’s what my father told me.”   As the conversation progresses, we learn that the young boy’s mother died not long ago after a brave battle with cancer.

The officer continues to pay attention to little Jerry and then gives him some instructions. He tells the youngster to get a red balloon, write down what he wants to tell his mother, and then release the balloon into the air. Jerry’s mother will be able to read what was written on the balloon when it arrives in Heaven.

The joyful story continues, and the way it builds to its unexpected ending is breathtaking. I had to wipe the tears that were flowing down my face several times. This short film produced by Kingston Technology has caused quite a stir on the internet, and I can see why. What a heartwarming story about how one police officer went above and beyond the call of duty to console a small child suffering from the effects of loneliness.
