Jamie Foxx has kept his followers in the dark since being hospitalized for a medical problem three weeks ago. With his initial update, he has officially ended his silence.

After an unspecified incident, the Django Unchained actor was taken to the hospital on Tuesday, April 11. His daughter Corinne Foxx made the public aware of the information.

“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, encountered a medical problem yesterday,” Corinne wrote in a message on Instagram.

Fortunately, fast action and expert treatment are helping him get closer to recovery.

“We appreciate your prayers and know how much he is adored. The family is asking for privacy at this time. With a lot of love, the Foxx family.

As the days passed without new information, Foxx remained silent, and his followers’ worry increased.

One of the actor’s closest friends made a public prayer request earlier this week, but it did not affect the situation.

Charlie Mack, a well-known hip-hop personality and Jamie Foxx’s “brother,” posted on Instagram, “I need you all to constantly keep our beloved brotha @iamjamiefoxx up whom we all love & care for dearly in our Hearts, Minds, & Prayers.” Please return. @iamjamiefoxx, sir, I know your tenacity since you are a fighter, a powerful individual, and tenacious. You’re not going to leave like that.

“A true champion, as I frequently proclaim, is not the one who triumphs; it is the one who confronts and surmounts difficulty! Your witness in court is you! To celebrate, laugh, and congratulate you, we all can’t wait for you to get home.”

He continued, “By the mercy of Allah, the All-Merciful, the Creator of Heavens and Earth! Oh Allah, I humbly want you to help our brother @iamjamiefoxx get well and stronger than ever by restoring and healing him. I have no problem pleading and begging you to use your kind healing abilities to cure our brotha right away rather than later when it would be more convenient for us. I must & shall thank you in advance, your nice, humble servant Kareem Abdullah alias Charlie Mack Ameen!”

Although a source told People in April that Foxx was “awake and alert,” the reason for his hospitalization remains unclear.

Thank God, they said, “He’s fine.” He is still in the hospital, where tests are being performed, but he is awake and conscious. They are watching over him.

Despite not being on set at the time of the hiccup, Foxx was filming Back in Action at the time of the incident. And according to People, he was not driven to the hospital in an emergency vehicle.

After remaining silent for three weeks, Foxx has thanked the public for their love and support. On Instagram, the 55-year-old wrote:

“Thank you for the love, everyone! I feel blessed.”

The actor also shouted out to Nick Cannon on his Instagram story for stepping in to host the upcoming season of Beat Shazam.

Appreciate you, my boy, @nickcannon, Foxx wrote. Soon, everyone.

Let’s hope Jamie Foxx’s health improves so he may resume the activities he and we both love most.
