Kelly Ripa’s fans miss her vivacious hosting abilities on Live with Kelly and Ryan, and it didn’t go unnoticed when she missed yet another appearance this week due to her persistent illness.
Kelly, a mother of three, was temporarily replaced as the show’s host on Friday by guest host Jenny Mollen, leaving fans wondering when they would see her again.
Social media users who follow the show on Instagram have recently made observations about her absence and inquired about the timing of her return in the comments section of the show’s posts. They also thanked the stand-in hosts for filling in and commended the chemistry between them and Ryan Seacrest.
Kelly’s doctor stated, “maybe you just have a weird thing,” but it is clear that it knocked her for a six.
Despite losing her voice earlier in the week, she was able to host the show; unfortunately, Kelly then took a turn for the worst.
The mother of three voiced her frustration with the situation by taking a selfie inside her New York City residence. She was seated on the couch with her palm resting on her brow in the photo and appeared to be in a bad mood.
Kelly has spoken up about her slow loss of voice, telling Ryan Seacrest that it began after she hosted the show on Monday.
“Yesterday around two in the afternoon, my voice just departed the building,” she explained. “Because of this,” Kelly continued, “Mark [Consuelos] told me, “Don’t worry, all you have to do is nod yes or no. Just look at me and nod.” Following that, he asks, “What would you want to eat for dinner?” which everyone in the studio thought was amusing.
Following the program, viewers took to social media to voice their concern for the mother of three and to encourage her to take time off to focus on her health.
“Kelly, who is singing? What will you do to get over this? “Get better soon,” one person said. “Kelly Ripa’s voice is a complete disaster,” someone observed. “Girl, get out of here and have some chamomile tea on me,” while a third user said, “Today would have probably been one of those days to take off from @KellyRipa. If someone can’t talk, they shouldn’t be hosting a talk show; they should be at home with some hot tea and lemon. Man, step it up!”
