Michael J. Fox is visibly frail but makes one final heartfelt gesture.
“Back to the Future” franchise stars Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, and Tom Wilson reunited this weekend at a fan conference in Portland, Oregon.
Thompson, 61, shared photos and videos from their charming get-together on Instagram.
“I honestly had the nicest time today with my #bttf family,” the caption added.
In a video, Thompson can be heard saying to Wilson, “My favorite, favorite person ever.”
“I adore this woman,” Wilson replied. “It’s great to see you. It’s just fantastic.”
The 1985 film follows Marty McFly (Fox) as he travels back in time when an experiment by his friend Doc Brown (Lloyd) goes wrong, and he must ensure that his mother (Thompson) marries his father – or else he will cease to exist. Along the way, they had to deal with Wilson’s impersonation of the bully Biff Tannen.
Two sequels to “Back to the Future” were filmed, and the film inspired a new Broadway show that will open in June 2023.
In a subsequent short video, Thompson speaks with 84-year-old Lloyd.
The “Clue” actor documented the historic occasion with images and videos on his Instagram.
The flux capacitor was discovered. “Brought us all back to 2023 just in time for @fanexpoportland,” the caption says.
Lloyd and Fox, both 61, met at the New York Comic-Con in 2022, more than 40 years after the film’s release.
The two discussed their “instant chemistry” on set.
According to Fox, working with Chris was the highlight of the project.
Fox appreciates “these FanExpo events and meeting some of my favorite people like Lea, Tom, Chris, and all you #bttf heads,” he writes on Instagram.
Despite fan clamor for a fourth installment in the series, Fox is unlikely to star in a film due to the effects Parkinson’s disease, which he was diagnosed with in 1991, has had on his physique.
The images Thompson shared with them included the cast of the Paramount+ television series “Star Trek: Picard,” which provides for Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, and Gates McFadden.
