Lisa Marie Presley, the only daughter of the iconic and beloved Elvis Presley, is survived by her brother Navarone Garibaldi. She was born nine months after her parents’ wedding on February 1, 1968, as the result of their marriage.
After Priscilla Presley and Elvis Presley separated in 1973, Presley started dating computer programmer Marco Garibaldi in 1984, and the two remained together until 2006. On March 1, 1987, Priscilla gave birth to Navarone, Lisa Marie’s half-brother. Her pregnancy was also shown in the television series Dallas.
Because Navarone was linked to Michael Jackson through his sister’s marriage, he was his half-brother-in-law at the time.
Along with music, he is an avid reptile enthusiast; he married his Swiss wife Elisa in February in her home country, according to his mother. Navarone, now 35 years old, is carrying on the family history while pushing boundaries with Them Guns.
Navarone and Elisa are officially married, and Priscilla shared these stunning photographs from the outdoor wedding at the Schloss Huningen Hotel in Switzerland on Instagram. It was an emotional day for those who were present, and Elvis Presley fans may notice a unique connection to Lisa Marie’s sibling’s wedding.
Navar and Elisa can be seen kissing after being pronounced husband and wife in the event’s most famous photograph. Jerry Schilling, Priscilla’s longstanding friend, officiated the wedding; he is also notable for being an Elvis’ inner circle member from Memphis. Indeed, Jerry and Lisa Marie were both present at the Golden Globes, where Austin Butler won Best Drama Actor for his depiction of Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann’s biography.
Lisa Marie Presley is survived by her three daughters, Harper and Finley, 13-year-old identical twins, and Riley Keough, 33. Elvis’ grandchildren will inherit Graceland, their grandfather’s famed home in Memphis, Tennessee, following Lisa Marie’s death.
Benjamin Keough, Lisa Marie’s 27-year-old son who died suddenly in 2020, is buried at the home’s Meditation Garden. Lisa Marie expressed a desire to be buried alongside her adored grandchild or grandmother, Minnie Mae, at Graceland before her death.
The three grandchildren are tasked with carrying out their grandmother’s wishes and burying her with other family members at the Mediation Garden.
Lisa Marie leaves behind a loving family that includes her three grandkids, mother, and brother. Graceland held unique memories for the Presley family; it was where they celebrated Christmas together each year and gathered as one big unit to share essential occasions and holidays.
This will be especially poignant for Harper, Finley, and Riley when they enter adulthood, knowing that they will now protect everything linked with Elvis’ legacy, including his home.
He was laid to rest 43 years ago in 1977, and it will stay so in perpetuity, coupled with his daughter’s wish for her last resting place to be nearby in the Meditation Garden.
