It is tragic when young lives are lost in an automobile accident. A tiny baby boy was killed in this sad tragedy, and numerous others were also hurt.
Shawn Walker’s security cameras recorded everything that went wrong. In the video, a pickup truck is seen traveling north on Kostner before being struck head-on by a stolen Hyundai Sonata. When the car crashed into a big tree, the Sonata came to rest by a light pole.
According to Walker, we began performing CPR because the infant wasn’t breathing. “My main concern was getting the baby’s pulse back,” said the mother.
The 6-month-old boy was identified as Cristian Uvidia by the Cook County Medical Examiner. On Monday afternoon, the infant was pronounced deceased at Stroger Hospital.
Just one day before the tragic event, the infant became six months old, according to his family, who spoke to the media.
Firefighters arrived on the site quickly after the collision to save the family. As they were hurried to the hospital, their conditions were listed in order of seriousness and criticalness.
At the accident scene, police spent more than four hours gathering information and speaking with witnesses.
Two suspects connected to the stolen Hyundai were detained. Boys aged 14 and 17 were both minors. They were accused of having a stolen automobile in their possession.
To raise money for Cristian’s funeral, a GoFundMe page has been created.
The tragic events were described in detail. It said how he passed away, “He suffered from an impact that fractured his skull, causing his brain to swell and eventually killing him.”
The statement continued, “We are devastated and broken. He was a joy to everyone he encountered, and we will miss his sweet grin.”
The description states, “Part of the money will also go towards medical expenses, as mom and sisters are currently hospitalized with injuries but in stable condition.”
This story is heartbreaking. We hope the family finds peace as they recover from this terrible loss. Please pray with us for this family.
