The Italian daily Corriere interviewed one of the most famous musicians in the world during the last decade in the musician’s hotel room in Paris.
Robbie Williams, who is now on tour to commemorate his 25th year in the music industry, recently admitted that he struggles with his demons. Still, he also made it clear that he is no longer plagued by the troubles he used to confront.
The artist considers his entire career to be five words: astounding, insane, extraordinarily beautiful, goofy, and unbelievable. This is because so much has happened to him in the last 25 years.
Robbie Williams’ sales figures are comparable to those of Elvis Presley or the Beatles; yet, this is unimportant to the typical Brit because his current album, “XXV,” debuted at number one in the UK.
“I do not need to worry about keeping relevant at this point, which is amazing. I believe being loyal to who I am right now is incredibly beneficial,” he told Corriere.
One of the album’s tracks is titled “Lost,” about feeling as though life has lost all significance. Regardless, the vocalist admits that the song is “autobiographical”.
“It speaks to a distant time between 1995 and 2000,” he continued.
“Most of the time, I was bewildered, and all I could think was, ‘This is such a dreadful circumstance.’ What gives me this impression?”
“How can I keep myself from feeling this way? What precisely am I doing? Please help me, Mum. ‘I had those feelings for the first 20 years of my life.”
Williams stated that the main issue was dealing with mental illness while working in a business that leads to the development of the mental disorders in its personnel, such as the music industry.
“I would have had mental health concerns if I had been a carpenter instead of a singer, but working in the construction industry is not nearly as stressful as being in the public spotlight.”
