“I just had another wrong diagnosis and procedure.” “Double epidural this time,” Stone posted on Instagram in November 2022. “Due to worsening pain, I sought a second opinion: I have a huge fibroid tumor that needs to be removed.” Ladies, especially: Don’t be blown off. Get a second opinion. It has the potential to save your life.”
Sharon Stone will undergo surgery to remove a large fibroid growth from her body after receiving the wrong diagnosis.
The Basic Instinct actress, now 64, is having therapy after suffering a brain hemorrhage and stroke that nearly killed her 21 years ago.
She is now pushing her fans to seek second opinions from physicians after admitting that the new tumor, which develops in or around the womb, was discovered in her body following a previous medical error. She claimed to have discovered the growth on her body.
She posted an update on her health situation to her Instagram Stories, stating that she “just had another misdiagnosis and incorrect procedure” and that she had received “double epidural” therapy for her agony.
She went on to explain that her agony worsened, and when she sought a second opinion from a different doctor, she was told she had a “large fibroid tumor” that “must be removed.”
“I am specifically addressing the ladies here: do not get blown off,” the actress warned her 3.4 million Instagram followers. “Seek the counsel of another doctor. It may be able to save your life.”
Sharon anticipated that she would need one to six weeks to recover from the unpleasant incident. She thanked her followers for their concern and concluded her statement, “It’s all good.”
Sharon, the mother of adopted children Roan, 22, Laird, 17, and Quinn, 16, disclosed earlier this year that she has miscarried nine times and lost all of her pregnancies.
Her additional health difficulties were addressed in her book, The Beauty of Living Twice, which was published in 2021. She mentioned in the book that benign tumors were removed from her body in 2001. She characterized the tumors as “gigantic,” saying they were bigger than one of her breasts.
She had a brain bleed and a stroke within the same calendar year.
