As the “nepo baby” controversy rages on, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis’ surprising choice to deny their two children a share of their estimated $421 million fortune has gone viral.
The A-list pair, who met on the set of That ’70s Show as co-stars, married in July 2015 and have two children, Wyatt Isabelle, 8, and Dimitri Portwood, 6.
During an interview more than five years ago, Kutcher first disclosed his and his wife’s unique plan for his children. Still, it has resurfaced after being published to a famous Twitter account, Pop Tingz, which has now received over 120,000 likes and thousands of retweets.
It comes amid a heated debate over the fairness of “nepo baby” trends in the entertainment and fashion industries, which refer to the offspring of someone famous or essential who have profited from their family’s ties.
And the Kutcher/Kunis children will not fit into that category.
Kutcher stated on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast in 2018 that he and his wife would not set up trust funds for their children.
“My kids are living a very privileged life, and they have no idea,” the actor explained.
“And they won’t know because this is the only one they’ll know.”
“I’m not establishing trust for them. We’ll end up donating our money to charity and other causes.”

In the original interview, the 45-year-old said that while he would consider investing in his children’s prospective business concepts in the future, he would not gift them large sums of money for no reason.
“If my children want to start a business and have a solid business plan, I’ll invest in them.” “However, they are not receiving trust,” he stated.
“Hopefully, they’ll be motivated to have what they had or a variant of what they had.”
Kutcher’s net worth is believed to be $US200 million (NZ$318 million) as a result of his successful acting career and investments in several tech start-ups through his venture capital firm A-Grade Investments.
Conversely, Kunis has a stated net worth of $US65 million (NZ$103 million).
The couple intends to bequeath most of their fortune to several philanthropic organizations.
Kutcher announced the family’s inheritance plan a year after Kunis revealed their strict gift-giving policy.
In a 2017 interview with Entertainment Tonight, she said they had implemented a “no presents for the kids” rule at Christmas.
