The procedure on Si Robertson’s lungs has been completed, and the Duck Dynasty actor stated in an update that everything went as planned.
Robertson took to social media on Thursday to share a photo of himself in the hospital with his followers and to provide an update on his condition following surgery.
“The operation was a success, according to the doctor. I’m ready to get back to work, Jack!” “I want to thank everyone for their support and prayers,” Robertson writes in a letter to fans.
Si Robertson was scheduled to have surgery after suffering from a number of health issues over the past few years. In episodes of his Duck Call Room podcast, Robertson has suggested that smoking is to blame for some of the problems he’s been having with his lungs and breathing. He is also afflicted with COPD. These issues become even more severe following a COVID-19 diagnosis in 2021.
In a June 2022 episode of the podcast, the 74-year-old man, affectionately known as “Uncle Si” by his family and admirers, revealed that he had been approved for surgery. He said that the surgery would involve inserting valves to repair a problem with a lung that was underperforming when he exhaled. The issue was that he was having difficulty breathing out.
“I was examined in Houston for a few things. Even if there are a few more steps to be taken, it appears that I will be cleared for lung surgery,” he said. “At that point, I’ll be able to stuff your ears with even more stories, all of which are guaranteed to be 95% accurate!”
He kept his word, and the reality star’s most recent post was met with congratulations from fans.
Justin Martin, co-host of the Duck Call Room and General Manager of Duck Commander, wrote: “Reappear in this place! We have podcasts to make! I’ll be praying for you, old man. We love you!”
Willie Robertson’s wife, Korie, also used emojis to express her feelings, including a heart, hands raised in prayer, and hands raised in happiness.
In the most recent episode of Duck Call Room, filmed before Robertson’s operation, Robertson discusses the procedure in greater detail.
