It’s likely that Kate Middleton stayed at The London Clinic longer than anyone anticipated. There were concerns among some royal specialists when the Princess of Wales stayed in the private hospital for almost two weeks.

It was said that Prince William paid his spouse a visit virtually every day while she was in the hospital. But despite rumours to the contrary, their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—never paid her a visit.

According to a royal specialist, Kate made the decision to forgo having her kids visit her in the clinic. And there’s a perfectly good explanation for it.

The statement from Kensington Palace claims that Kate Middleton’s stomach operation was “planned.” However, when the palace announced the news, royal admirers throughout the world were taken aback.

Even though the Princess of Wales hadn’t been spotted in public for a few weeks when the surgery news was announced, she hadn’t displayed any symptoms of illness.

Ingrid Seward, a biographer and royal specialist, claims that Kate Middleton herself thoughtfully declined to have her kids visit her at The London Clinic. She stated in an interview with People Magazine that her desire to respect other patients overruled her want to see them.

She didn’t seem to want to make a bigger deal out of it than she did. Ingrid Seward told People, “They’ll be rallying ’round in their own way and helping to look after her.”

However, Kate’s choice might have been influenced by further circumstances. Kate is a member of the royal family, therefore if she had asked for visitors, the hospital would have no problem letting George, Charlotte, and Louis come see her.

On the other hand, the website of The London Clinic states that children are typically not permitted to attend without authorization from the hospital, mostly for patient safety and to lessen the possibility of illnesses spreading.

After undergoing stomach surgery, on January 29, 2013, Kate was eventually released from The London Clinic and went back to Adelaide Cottage, her home, to continue her recuperation. She won’t, at most, return to royal duties until after Easter, according to the original statement.

In order to continue her recuperation from surgery, the Princess of Wales has returned to her residence in Windsor. “She is progressing well,” a statement from Kensington Palace stated. “The Prince and Princess would like to express their sincere gratitude to all of the employees at The London Clinic, particularly the committed nursing staff, for the care they have given.”
