The world’s hearts are bleeding for famous singer Tina Turner, after devastating news was on December 9.
Tina Turner’s son, Ronnie Turner, has died, according to sources. He was 62 years old at the time.
Turner is survived not just by his iconic mother, but also by his wife, French singer Afida Turner, who confirmed her husband’s untimely death on Instagram. “My God Ronnie Turner a true angel, huge soul, highly spiritual, my husband, my closest friend, my baby, your mummy, your nurse,” Afida wrote with a photo of Tina, Ronnie, and herself.
“I did my best until the end,” Afida said. “I was unable to save you this time. I’ve loved you for…17 years. This is quite unfortunate. I’m devastated. It’s a tragedy.”
Afida found solace in knowing that her husband was now in heaven with his brother Craig and father Ike. “So unfair,” she said at the end of her statement.
911 dispatchers were called to Turner’s address at 9:40 a.m. this Tuesday, according to TMZ. The caller informed the operator that Ronnie was having difficulty breathing and had eventually stopped breathing entirely.
Someone nearby began CPR on Ronnie, but he was pronounced dead at the location when paramedics arrived. His cause of death is unknown at this time.
Ronnie, like both of his parents and his wife, was a talented musician. Tina rushed to Instagram just moments ago to issue a brief statement in the aftermath of her son’s death.
“You departed the world far too soon, Ronnie. I close my eyes in sorrow and think of you, my precious son,” she wrote.
During this sad time, our thoughts and prayers are with the Turner family.
