Suri Cruise, the teenage daughter of Katie Holmes, has avoided the spotlight for years, making her most recent news all the more shocking.
In the actress’s most recent movie, Alone Together, which she co-stars in with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise, the 16-year-old plays the lead role.
According to Katie, Suri performs the song Blue Moon in the future film.
“She’s very skilled,” Katie, 43, said. “She made a commitment to do it, filmed it, and I just let her be. Typically, when I give instructions, I say something like, “This is what I think we all want; do your thing.“
Suri’s voice can be heard in the movie’s opening credits. When asked why she chose Suri for the role, Katie replied, “I always want the best level of talent, so I asked her.”
The Dawson’s Creek actress recently spoke about how the two handled the pandemic as a team and described some of the enjoyable things they did while in lockdown.
In the second edition of Amazing magazine, Katie stated, “I painted, we had a sewing machine, so we made quilts, we cooked; we were on a continual vacation.”
“We most likely saw Dirty Dancing ten times. I can attest to its durability because I danced to it in the living room. I used to wake up, sew, drink coffee, and nap on the hammock because we were also near a lake.”
Suri’s development into her own personality and making sure she is completely herself, as well as strong, capable, and confident, have always been Katie’s top concerns as a parent, she explained last year.
“She came out powerful, as she always had a strong personality. She will pick a task and give it her all until she succeeds at it.”
“Okay, I’m going to try the next thing,” she continues. “She works hard and is very determined.”
Tom, Suri’s father, is rumored to be estranged from her, and she spends all of her time with Katie.
