John Schneider remembers his late wife, Alicia Allain, who died last week at 53.
“My lovely Smile is pain-free, living in her new body with Jesus,” the Dukes of Hazzard star said on Facebook. “Please respect our privacy during this difficult time.”
Schneider, 62, shared a photo of Allain and another with his hand covering hers, their wedding bands visible. His letter urged his friends and followers to contribute images of the pair demonstrating their “obvious love and affection for each other.”
Allain worked as a producer, performer, and hairstylist on films such as Auto Focus, Leather Jackets, and Caged Fear.
Although Schneider did not name a cause of death, Allain’s battle with stage 4 breast cancer was discussed on Fox & Friends in January 2020. When she was diagnosed, she was “three years into a five-year shelf life,” according to Schneider.
Allain informed the hosts that she had researched pain treatment choices. “I did a speed course of reading what path I was going to take,” she explained. “I chose to try keto for cancer, CBD oil, and mineral grounding. I went into a fairly strict routine.”
Following that, the couple began marketing CBoD Oil, which was called after Schneider’s Dukes of Hazzard character, Bo Duke.
Schneider married Allain for the third time; he married Tawny Little from 1983 to 1986 and Elly Castle from 1993 to 2019. From 1994 to 1999, Allain was married to Patrick Dollard.
Allain was regarded as “a force that inspired others” and “kind and generous to everybody she met” in her obituary. She was always putting herself last.”
Schneider’s Dukes of Hazzard costar Tom Wopat shared his tribute on Facebook on Wednesday, saying, “My thoughts and prayers are with him, along with the thoughts and prayers of the entire Dukes nation. Alicia was an influential figure in his life and profession and will be missed.”
Schneider closed his message with a request: “Hug those you love tight and let them know how you feel. We’ve always done it.”
