Nothing is more tragic than the death of a young person. It also hurts a lot more when an 8-year-old kid passes away.
In this story, a young child, Eli Hill, was having an ordinary day at home when his small family’s world was turned upside down.
The day was routine in Corbin, Kentucky. Eli Hill, a young boy, was shooting hoops at home when the unthinkable happened.
Eli the Little got a stool so he could dunk the basketball. As the backboard slid from the pole as he was ready to do it, the child received terrible injuries to his chest.
Eli was Adam and Ashley Hill’s first child. He significantly impacted many people’s lives during his brief time on Earth. Numerous tributes began to arrive.
As many who knew Eli Hill know, one child can bring so much joy not just into your life but also into the lives of others around him.
His death had an impact on the entire community. The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department announced the death and requested donations for the Hill family. They also stated that the family has not set up any GoFundMe accounts for Eli Hill and warned the public against doing so.
According to the Fayette County Coroner, the 8-year-old died due to severe injuries to his chest caused by a board landing on it. Eli was rushed to the hospital immediately after his odd accident, but he died there soon after.
This is a devastating loss for the entire community. Please keep the Hill family in your thoughts and prayers as they cope with this tragedy.
