Rod Stewart announced the death of their younger brother Bob two months after the death of their eldest brother Don.

The 77-year-old musician revealed the news on social media.

He used a candle image and added the words “Rest in Peace” to the final frame of the image to deliver the tragic news to his viewers.

“It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my brother Bob last night, who now joins my brother Don on the vast football field in the sky,” he wrote on Facebook.

“It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my brother Don last night.”

“Over the last two months, I’ve had to say goodbye to two of my closest friends. Rest in peace, Don and Bob, two friends who will never be forgotten, knowing you were irreplaceable.”

The decedent’s followers and friends quickly expressed their condolences and best wishes to the community.

Sharon Stone expressed her condolences to a close friend in a post that read, “I’m deeply sorry for your loss.”

“How sad… Please accept my heartfelt condolences to every one of you.” Piers Morgan added, “RIP Bob,” to his condolences, while music producer David Foster simply stated, “My heartfelt condolences.”

The death of Stewart’s oldest brother, Don, in September, came just two days before the announcement that Queen Elizabeth II had also died.

On his Instagram account, the “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?” singer posted an image of the royal crown logo with the caption, “It has been a dreadful 48 hours.”

“We said our final goodbyes to my brother Don on Tuesday, who lived to the age of 94; today, we said our final goodbyes to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who lived to the age of 96.”
