Sharon Stone has shared some deeply saddening news with the public—the loss of her beloved nephew, River. He was only 11 months old when he passed away due to total organ failure, just days before his first birthday.

River was the cherished son of Sharon’s brother Patrick and his wife, Tasha. A week before his untimely passing, Sharon, whom many recognize from “Basic Instinct,” posted a heartfelt message and photo of little River, who was connected to medical equipment, expressing the gravity of his condition.

“My nephew and godson River Stone was found in his crib with total organ failure today,” she wrote. “Please pray for him. We need a miracle.” Sadly, a miracle wasn’t meant to be, and young River did not recover.

Sharon shared the heart-wrenching news of his passing through her social media. Accompanying her post was a touching video homage set to Eric Clapton’s “Tears in Heaven,” titled “River William Stone Sept. 8, 2020 – Aug. 30, 2021.”

Being River’s godmother, Sharon often posted warm, loving photos of him, capturing her deep affection and the delightful moments they shared.

From the time he was born, Sharon was there to welcome him with a sweet photo, exclaiming joyfully, “Look who’s going home: River William Stone, my brother Patrick and his wife Tasha’s new baby.”

In a poignant tribute, River’s mother, Tasha, opened her heart about her unimaginable loss. “God needed River in Heaven,” she expressed. “I can’t say more than I needed him here on Earth because my heart is shattered into a million pieces.”

“My days will never be the same and I have no idea how I am supposed to live my life without the sweetest boy in the universe. I am crushed. River William Stone you were loved beyond measure. Leaving your hospital room today was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I will ALWAYS love you my sweet baby boy.”

In her own life, Sharon Stone is a devoted mother of three adopted sons: Quinn, who is 16, Laird, who is 17, and Roan, who is now 22. She once shared with Vogue the fulfilling experience of motherhood: “I’m now a single mother with three adopted sons, and it has been the great privilege of my life to raise them.”

“When you adopt, you realize any child could be your child, any person could be your relative. After that you never see the world in the same way again…” This sentiment resonates deeply, especially during times of such profound family loss.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the Stone family during this incredibly difficult time.
