Nobody ever forgets what it’s like to be a first-time parent. And now and again, just when you think you’ve completed your trip to parenting, life surprises you.
Shemar Moore, an actor, now has the opportunity to realize his dream.
Shemar Moore was a mainstay on our television screens for many years. He is most recognized for his roles on The Young and the Restless as Malcolm Winters, Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds, and Sergeant II Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson on S.W.A.T.
The Jennifer Hudson Show just released the episode trailer, revealing shocking news for everyone: star Shemar Moore is finally becoming a parent for the first time at 52! The actor is set to feature in the show.
“I’m Shemar Moore, 52 and a half years old,” the actor says to a beaming Jennifer Hudson. “My mother is in heaven, and the third anniversary comes on February 8,” he stated. “And on February 8, I’m going to fulfill one of her wishes because Shemar Moore is about to become a father in real life.”
His mother, Marilyn Joan Wilson-Moore, died on February 8, 2020. She had been suffering from multiple sclerosis for some time.
Moore’s announcement surprised even Hudson. “That is news,” the host replied. And your mother will be beaming with pride from above.”
Moore seemed overjoyed at the thought of finally becoming a father. “I was worried for a bit that maybe the ship had sailed, and, you know, God had my back and things lined up,” he explained. My life is spectacular, but I know that when God calls my name, and I have this experience, I’ll be able to go to heaven whole.”
The teaser offers nothing else save that he is expecting a child. However, the actor shared a video from him and his partner Jesiree Dizon’s gender reveal celebration on his Instagram page.
He captioned the adorable video, “Mama’s smiling from Heaven… Miracles do occur… “This is the BEST part of my life.”
As a helicopter hovers overhead, spewing pink smoke, the couple learns they expect a girl. Everyone is overjoyed to learn the gender, especially the soon-to-be parents. Shemar reveals that they will name their child Frankie.
Moore has been outspoken about his desire to be a father for quite some time. “I want to be a family man,” he declared in a 2017 interview. I want to be a father and have a partner in crime, a woman with whom I can share [my life]. I want to keep evolving to keep moving forward in my life. In my private life.”
The episode of Jennifer Hudson’s show, including his pregnancy announcement, will air on January 26, 2023.
We are pleased to learn that Shemar will be a father for the first time very soon. We wish the couple all the best!
