Shemar Moore and Jesiree Dizon are putting their daughter first amid their public breakup.

The 54-year-old “S.W.A.T.” star, who welcomed daughter Frankie with Dizon in January 2023, confirmed the couple’s split in a somber-but-honest Instagram video, posted Jan. 30.

Moore began his video with a simple message: “Mind your business. Give us a break. Give us some privacy.”

“We’re gonna love each other, and we’re gonna love the hell out of our daughter, Frankie,” Moore added. “I’m so grateful that our daughter Frankie gets to call Jesiree mom. Jesiree loves her children.”

Moore and Dizon first started dating 15 years ago, but broke up because Moore wasn’t ready to settle down. They reconnected in 2020 after Moore’s mother died and welcomed Frankie three years later.

TMZ was first to report the breakup on Jan. 30. People confirmed the news several hours later.

In his Instagram video, Moore described Dizon as a “phenomenal mother” and “amazing woman for so many reasons” before shifting the focus to himself — and his daughter.

“I’m looking for joy, I’m looking for calm, I’m looking for peace, I’m looking for love in my life, in my spirit. If you don’t love on me and root for me, then bye. Unfollow,” he said.

“If you don’t love and enjoy and show love to Jesiree, then goodbye, go away and good luck to you,” he added.

Moore also took a moment to address the negative comments and hate the couple have received since news of the breakup went viral.

“If you get in there with the comments and you start trashing and being negative, then you ain’t a fan of mine,” he said of the online trolls.

“If you really have love for me, if you’re a fan of me, then be kind. Breaking up ain’t easy,” he continued.

Moore went on to confirm that, while the status of his and Dizon’s relationship has changed, their love for each other and love for their daughter will not falter.

“Everything I’ve done in my life is nothing without the miracle of Frankie and I am going to be the dopest father that that little girl has ever known because that’s the only reason I’m still here,” Moore added.

Dizon ready to be the ‘best co-parents’ with Moore

On Jan. 31, Dizon took to Instagram to share a response of her own as she continues to heal.

“The amount of love and support during this difficult time has been nothing short of overwhelming,” she wrote in a lengthy caption alongside a photo of her with Moore and Frankie.

“Although our reality has changed, what will ALWAYS remain is the love and respect Shemar and i both have for each other,” she continued.

The couple are committed to “keeping our love for each other alive and strong” and “being the BEST co-parents” to Frankie and Dizon’s two other children.

Dizon, 41, is also a mother to a 17-year-old son, Kaiden, and 6-year-old daughter, Charlie, from previous relationships.

Her caption also included a brief message from Moore: “Even though our romantic journey has ended, we are still stuck together FOR LIFE so let’s kill this parenting thing…. TOGETHER.”

The breakup comes just a few days after Moore’s appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” where he was asked about a potential second child with Dizon.

“This is real life, I’m gonna keep it 100. I’m 54 years old, my home, our home is full,” Moore said. “I was raised an only child. I got all the love from my mama, and at 54, honestly, I don’t want to worry twice.”

Moore also credited his late mother, Marylin Joan Wilson-Moore, for making sure he wasn’t alone when she passed away.

“I can’t prove it, but I think between God and my mama, they made sure that I wasn’t alone. And I got Jesiree and I got Frankie,” he explained.
