The actor never imagined becoming a father, but at 52, he finally realized a lifelong dream.
Actor Shemar Moore announced a few weeks ago that he would become a father for the first time. He announced while appearing on Jennifer Hudson’s talk show.
“My name is Shemar Moore, and I’m 52 and a half years old,” he said to a beaming Jennifer Hudson.
My mother is in paradise and will celebrate her third anniversary on February 8. And because Shemar Moore is about to become a father in real life, I will fulfill one of her fantasies on February 8.
His mother, Marilyn Joan Wilson-Moore, died on February 8, 2020. She had been suffering from multiple sclerosis for some time.
Moore’s announcement even surprised Hudson. “That is news,” the host said. And your mother will be beaming with pride from heaven.”
He seemed overjoyed at the prospect of finally becoming a father after making the announcement. “I was worried for a while that maybe that ship had sailed, and, you know, God had my back and things lined up,” he explained. My life is pretty spectacular, but I know that when God calls my name, and I have this experience, I’ll be able to go to heaven whole.”
The star later shared a video of the gender reveal party for him and his partner Jesiree Dizon on his Instagram account.
Moore was never afraid to express his desire to have children. “I want to be a family man,” he said in a 2017 interview. I want to be a father and have a partner in crime, a woman with whom I can share [my life]. I want to keep evolving to keep moving forward in my life. In my private life.”
And now his wish has been granted. According to sources, he welcomed his fiancée Jesiree Dizon and his daughter.
Of course, the proud papa quickly shared a photo of his bundle of joy on social media.
He posted a sweet shot of him holding his baby girl with the caption, “FRANKIE MOORE!!!! BABY GIRL in da building!!!” He captioned the image. “Born January 24… at 3:38pm…. 7.1 Pounds… 20 inches…. 10 fingers n 10 toes… Already THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!!”
He continued, “I’m a Girl, Daddy!!!! OH MY GOD!!! DREAMS COME TRUE!!” Moore continued. “Grandma Marilyn is in heaven puff puff passing, drinking her wine, and doing her happy dance… I LOVE and MISS YOU every day, Mom.”
He ended the post with, “Frankie is gonna grow up to be a KILLA!!! Watch out, World here comes ‘Frankie Muthaf**kin Moore’!!!!”
