On January 12, the tragic death of singer-songwriter Lisa Marie Presley was preceded by a tense and confused 911 call.
The New York Post obtained the emergency call from the day of the singer-death songwriter’s and made it public on Tuesday. The 911 call includes Presley’s housekeeper and a man who is believed to be her ex-husband Danny Keough speaking.
On January 12, Presley suffered a heart attack at a residence off Las Virgenes Road in Calabasas. At 10:37 a.m., emergency personnel was dispatched to the area.
The operator approaches Presley’s housekeeper, who appears unable to provide details about the incident.
“How about Provence Drive?” inquires the operator.
“It’s Normandy Drive,” the housekeeper says.
“Yes, but is the street at the corner, Provence Drive, the closest?” The operator clicks again.
Presley’s housekeeper answers the phone, “I honestly don’t know,” even though she is phoning from the city of Calabasas in Los Angeles County’s San Fernando Valley.
“Pay attention. Paramedics are already on their way.”
After hearing another voice, the 911 operator asks the housekeeper to hand over the phone. The man does not identify himself, although Keough was at the house on Thursday and is alleged to have performed CPR on his ex-wife before emergency officials arrived.
“Sir, pay attention. Paramedics are already on their way.”
“There’s a security fence in the area,” the man responds, “but they’ll just let them pass. Where can I find them?”
The operator responds that he “had no idea where they were at the time.”
In another video, the man confirms that paramedics have arrived.
On Thursday night, Priscilla Presley announced the death of her only child, Elvis Presley. I am 54 years old.
“Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are startled and devastated by the sudden demise of their beautiful Lisa Marie,” said Priscilla Presley’s spokeswoman. “They plead for privacy during this tremendously tough time and are sincerely grateful for everyone’s support, love, and prayers.”
According to the New York Times, Lisa Marie Presley will be buried alongside her father, Elvis Presley, and her late son, Benjamin Keough.
Riley Keough, Harper, Finley Lockwood, her children, and the “Storm & Grace” vocalist will be recognized at a public memorial service at the mansion in Memphis, Tennessee, on Sunday at 9 a.m. CT.
