According to Deadline, the former “American Idol” contestant was sent to the Walker Baptist Medical Center owing to health difficulties, citing the nation’s Coroner, Joey Vick.

His relatives later told a news agency that he died of what seemed to be a heart attack. The Walker County Coroner’s Office also issued a news notice confirming his death.
