It could have turned out badly.
Tiffany was traveling on Interstate 65 in Nashville last week when a truck tire slid over the road, hit her vehicle, and lodged under the driver’s side, according to the 1980s adolescent music icon representative.
“I’m fortunate and grateful because a serious accident could have happened,” Tiffany, 51, said in a statement.
Tiffany, whose real name is Tiffany Darwish, is not known to have sought medical assistance.
However, her car is in poor condition. According to her rep, the side paneling was “ripped completely off,” the front has been damaged, and the transmission has been torn apart.
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department has been contacted for comment.
In 1987, Tiffany released her debut album, “Tiffany,” which featured a version of “I Think We’re Alone Now” that topped the Billboard Charts.
Twenty years ago, Tommy James and the Shondells first published the song.
She completed a second leg of the “Shadows” tour in the fall after releasing her 11th studio album.
Tiffany is said to have a YouTube series called “The Album Diaries” and a very active Instagram.
She investigates the impact of her real-life experiences on her albums.
Tiffany was caught on camera cursing at audience members in Florida during an ear-splitting, off-key performance in November 2021.
The singer “had lost her voice and got frustrated with her performance,” Tiffany’s representative said at the time, adding that she “struggled to hit several notes during the gig, so it’s possible the fans were heckling.”
She later responded to her followers on Instagram and disclosed that she had a “panic attack” while performing.
