Two toddlers drowned in a swimming pool when their grandma with Alzheimer’s left the rear door open.

The toddlers were discovered by their ‘distraught’ mother, who administered CPR until emergency personnel arrived.

Two 18-month-old babies drowned in a suburban swimming pool in a “tragic accident,” according to authorities.

Locklyn and Loreli Callazzo of Oklahoma were discovered at the bottom of the pool by their mother on Thursday, March 16, at 10.45 a.m.

According to police, the occurrence appears to be a terrible accident, according to an Oklahoma news site.

Jenny Callazzo, the twins’ mother, discovered them in the pool and dragged them out.

She performed CPR until emergency personnel came.

Locklyn and Loreli were taken to the hospital and proclaimed dead.

A family member claims that the rear door was left open by an Alzheimer’s patient, believed to be the twins’ grandmother.

According to multiple reports, the toddlers’ grandmother resides in the house with their parents and four siblings.

“It’s upsetting,” said Mike Bernard, a neighbor.

“My prayers are with that family because small children are priceless.”

Bernard was present while the emergency unfolded.

“They pulled out two small children and placed them in separate ambulances,” he explained. “And they were performing CPR on both of the minor children.”

“I noticed a sad mother getting into an EMS van.”

GoFundMe has been created to support the family.

“These precious infants were taken from us far too soon,” wrote Godmother Dawn.

“Any assistance with expenses would be greatly appreciated.”

“We are grateful for everyone’s love and support.”
