The fact that sibling love is so unconditional may be what makes it so lovely.
As brothers and sisters, we frequently argue, insult each other, incite fury, etc. In the end, though, your siblings will always be by your side.
I am blessed to have both sisters and brothers with whom I have a great bond.
Regardless of my mood or our present level of friendship, there is nothing I would not do to help them if they needed it.
That’s why this particular story struck a deep chord with me. It’s about Vermont native Chris Garafola and Brittany, Brittany’s older sister with Down syndrome.
Their bond only grew stronger as they grew older. As a result, when Chris met Tatiana and eventually proposed to her, he knew Brittany would play an essential role in their wedding.
Tatiana and Chris opted to postpone their wedding until Brittany could be present to witness their union. Brittany’s immune system was compromised due to her sickness. Therefore, she needed to get her COVID-19 shot before attending social activities.
Brittany was immunized in February 2021, allowing Chris and Tatiana to begin planning their wedding.
Chris, a male model, posted a video to his YouTube account in late March of the same year in which Tatiana was seen on FaceTime with Brittany.
Brittany was stunned to learn that her younger brother was getting married, but what Tatiana asked her left her speechless.
“Do you know what else I wanted to ask you?” “Would you like to be my maid of honor?” Brittany cried joyfully and replied, “Sure, I can.”
As a result, Chris and Tatiana married in April 2021, with Brittany serving as maid of honor.
The newlyweds then announced that they had surprised Brittany with a one-of-a-kind ring to commemorate the occasion.
“She’s been my best friend since day one, and that won’t change even if I get married,” Chris explained.
Needless to say, Chris, Tatiana, and Brittany’s images quickly became popular on the internet. The affection captured in the photos softens even the coldest of hearts.
